United States Eligibility for Athletes

It is a priviledge to compete in Official US Footvolley competitions.  These events are fun and get the adrenaline going!  For all athletes to feel that they are involved in competitions with fair and equitable standards the following eligility requirements are put in place.  These eligibility requirements are the minimum standards for Officially Sanctioned competitions.  Some competitions may have stricter requirements.

1. Player must be an active member of US Footvolley for current year

2. Player must provide proof of identity (Driver's License, etc.)

3. Player must be a resident of the United States (proof of address within the country) or be a US Citizen living abroad.

4. International players are welcome in most US Footvolley competitions, as long as, his/her respective national federation has released him/her to compete in the US and acknowledges proof of 'good standing'

5. Exceptions: Celebrity Players (famous athletes, entertainers, etc.) do get special consideration as per a request to compete and usually the request is granted.  The rationale behind this is that footvolley remains a relatively new sport and a VIP celebrity will bring incremental valuable attention to the sport.

6. Player must release US Footvolley from any form of liability (including that of friends and family) due to involvement in a US Footvolley sanctioned event

7. Women may not compete in men's competitions and vice-versa.

8. US Footvolley adheres to the IOC and USOC policies on transgender athletes

9. Athlete agrees to not take illegal enhancement drugs (steriods).
